What to Expect When You Arrive for Your Appointment

We are excited to see you when you arrive at our SmileTown dental office in Waterloo, Cambridge or Guelph! The following are some tips to help you know what to expect once you arrive at our office:

  • A parent or legal guardian must be present at this appointment. 
  • Please arrive on time for your appointment, and STAY IN YOUR VEHICLE.
  • Please let the administrative team know your name, your child’s name, appointment time upon arrival at your scheduled location:

New Patient Appointment

  • Please text the administrative team your name, your child’s name, appointment time;
  • You will be contacted to enter the facility when we are ready for you.
  • You will be asked a standard series of screening questions regarding the covid-19 pandemic in the vestibule.
  • The assistant will take your temperature and your child’s temperature.
  • You will be asked to confirm that you had the ability to ask questions regarding dental treatment and sedation

Payment is required on day of visit. We can submit your insurance claim electronically on your behalf. A parent must be present at this appointment.

Consult Appointment

We are looking forward to seeing your child for their dental consultation appointment.

*One Parent must be present at appointment
* Consultations take about 30-45 min

  • Please arrive on time for your appointment, and STAY IN YOUR VEHICLE.
  • Please text the administrative team your name, your child’s name, appointment time;
  • You will be contacted to enter the facility when we are ready for you;
  • You will be asked a standard series of screening questions regarding the covid-19 pandemic in the vestibule.
  • The assistant will take your temperature and your child’s temperature.
  • The assistant will assess your child for the sedation appointment (if applicable)
  • You will be asked to confirm that you had the ability to ask questions regarding dental treatment and sedation.

* Please bring insurance information so we can send the claim electronically on your behalf.
*Payment is to be made in full on day of appointment by Visa/Mastercard, Debit or Cash

Patient must bring current Healthy Smiles Ontario issued card on appointment day. NO EXCEPTIONS
Patient will not be seen without it.

12 M Recall, 6M Recall, 9M Recall, Cleaning Recall: after sedation – Appointments

We are looking forward to seeing you for your dental appointment.

  • Please arrive on time for your appointment, and STAY IN YOUR VEHICLE.
  • Please text the administrative team your name, your child’s name, appointment time;
  • You will be contacted to enter the facility when we are ready for you;
  • You will be asked a standard series of screening questions regarding the covid-19 pandemic in the vestibule.
  • The assistant will take your temperature and your child’s temperature.
  • The assistant will assess your child for the sedation appointment (if applicable)
  • You will be asked to confirm that you had the ability to ask questions regarding dental treatment and sedation.

This time has been set aside especially for you. Please contact our office as soon as possible if you need to reschedule as there may be a charge for missed appointments, and cancellations with less than 24 hours notice.

Deep/IV Sedation

We are looking forward to seeing you for your dental appointment under sedation.

*Child must be healthy on day of treatment

Any cough, cold, runny nose or flu like symptoms in the last 4 weeks must be reported to the office [Telephone] in the days prior to treatment.

*Do Not let your child eat or drink anything after midnight the night before the appointment.

  • Please arrive on time for your appointment, and STAY IN YOUR VEHICLE.
  • Please text the administrative team your name, your child’s name, appointment time;
  • You will be contacted to enter the facility when we are ready for you;
  • You will be asked a standard series of screening questions regarding the covid-19 pandemic in the vestibule.
  • The assistant will take your temperature and your child’s temperature.
  • The assistant will assess your child for the sedation appointment (if applicable)
  • You will be asked to confirm that you had the ability to ask questions regarding dental treatment and sedation.
